After eight years of leading the Friends of Cain Park, Molly McGuigan is stepping down as board president. Molly has been a strong leader for the Friends Board and will be greatly missed! During her tenure, she’s been instrumental in innovative Board practices, including working closely with Cain Park’s Box Office to streamline the membership and ticket-buying process. She remains committed to park preservation in Cleveland Heights, and will continue serving on the board of the Friends of Heights Parks which is dedicated to serving all of the parks in Cleveland Heights.
The Friends of Cain Board appointed and voted-in board member Gary Lustic as president during their November Board Meeting. Gary has worked closely with the city, local greenhouses and other key community members to “clean and green” Cain Park, planting over 300 plants throughout the park in the last season alone. Gary and his wife Julie have been volunteers at Cain Park for 8 years. Gary joined the Friends of Cain Park Board in 2019.
Friends of Cain Park is proud to welcome Andrea Turner to the board. Andrea has been enjoying performances at Cain Park as a resident of Cleveland Heights for 20+ years. A strong supporter of the arts, she runs a marketing communications consulting company and freelances as a writer, editor, and photographer. She frequents Cain Park’s dance and live music concerts.
