June 26th is Cleveland Heights Residents Day at Cain Park. Residents Day is very special day on a number of levels. It is a sign that summer will soon be upon us and the upcoming Cain Park season is right around the corner. It is also a great opportunity to catch up with friends, neighbors and arts lovers that you may not have seen over the winter or maybe since the last Cain Park season ended. Residents Day is the day the Cain Park box office opens and residents can purchase their tickets for the upcoming season. On Residents Day only, Cleveland Heights resident can buy tickets from a special block of seats Cain Park sets aside just for residents and are not available through Ticketmaster. Purchasing tickets at the box office adds a $2 processing fee (up to $10) but you won’t have to pay the Ticketmaster processing fees which are more expensive. There are limited number of seats available and there is no guarantee that ticket requests will be filled from designated block of seats depending on demand. Here are some tips if you plan to purchase tickets on Residents Day:

  • Review the Cain Park schedule prior to Residents Day so you know which performances you want to attend.
  • You must purchase tickets at the Cain Park Ticket Office in person between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Residents Day.
  • Dress appropriate for the weather.
  • Stop by the Friends of Cain Park table and purchase a membership which will give you access to preferred seating if you decide to attend another concert later.
  • Bring photo ID and two proofs of current residency such as a utility bill or current CH recreation ID.
  • Register with Cain Park staff outside the Main Ticket Office (East entrance to the Evans Amphitheater) and get a number assignment.
  • Once you get your assigned number in the queue you can leave the park to catch breakfast at your favorite restaurant depending on where you are in the queue.
  • Bring a lawn chair and something to eat/drink and a good book if you plan on staying on site until your number is called.
  • Credit card purchases require a photo ID that must match the name on the credit card.
  • If you are a lawn seat type of person (you don’t need a reserved seat) you can fill out your form and leave it with a Cain Park staff member and pick up your tickets the following week.
  • Make some new friends or catch up with long-time friends.

Take advantage of being a resident of this wonderful community and stop by Cain Park on Residents Day to get your tickets. See you there!
